Local Fundraising is a course in which you learn how to mobilise resources within your own community through various sources e.g. local businesses, middle-class donors, local companies and public authorities and many more. During the course, you will develop a fundraising plan for your own organisation and practise the communication skills you require to implement the plan.
The Local Fundraising course is suitable for small and medium-sized social organisations in Ghana.
Licensed local trainers from WACSI will conduct the training. WACSI was established by the Open Society Initiative for West Africa (OSIWA) to reinforce the capacities of civil society in the sub-region. WACSI strengthens civil society in West Africa to be responsive, collaborative, representative, resilient and influential through knowledge sharing, learning, connecting and influencing.
After the course, participants will have a thorough practical plan which they can implement. Following the course, participants have access to advice and e-coaching from WACSI.
Organisations willing to participate can register for the Local Fundraising course by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
