Embracing Change: Local fundraising stories

Summary

This booklet contains stories of eight small and big organisations in India – working with ‘soft’ and ‘difficult’ causes from a fundraising point of view. The common thread in all these organisations is that they have faced many challenges, and even failures, to come up with a fundraising strategy that works for them and it has not been an easy road for any organisation. Very few knew exactly what they wanted to do right from the beginning, many experimented and continue to explore ‘unconventional’ sources of income to make a difference!

Review by Wilde Ganzen

Although published some years ago, this booklet is useful for the inspiration the eight stories can provide. It shows the enormous diversity of fundraising learning journeys, and that strategies need always be tailor-made to local possibilities.
