Résumé

Bahujan Hitay Trust organised a camp for girls in Chincholi village including entertainment and games programme. The last day of the camp was celebrated as a welfare day and Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation Ambernath Association donated a cash amount of Rs. 80,000/-. The children participating in the event have grown in confidence. BHT Kalyan created a local action team within the organisation. Relations with the community and companies were improved.

Conseils et leçons apprises

1. Enhanced effective communication to convince invitees through emails and brochures to ensure better participation in the event.
2. The process of organising fundraising activity like event planning in advance, using various convincing strategies for identifying and targetting specific companies for donations and sponsorships. Approaching corporates a month before the event via emails and sharing the organisation´s presentation in order to convince the donors.

Remarques Wilde Ganzen

This is a good example of involving companies in a social cause, giving them the opportunity to establish a programme of Corporate Social Reponsibility. Inviting them to the final event of a Hobby & Arts Camp for girl students exposed them to the needs of these children, which led to a generous donation and the promise of future involvement. BHT Kalyan made sure that the newly established network continued to function, by calling the companies and providing them with quarterly newsletters.
