Module 1: Basics of mobilising support

There are many different reasons for local organisations to mobilise support for changes in their community. This module presents an introduction to different approaches to mobilise support and gives good reasons for engaging in mobilising support initiatives.

Why

CBOs and NGOs seek to foster improvements in the living conditions of groups who deserve to enjoy their full rights. Mobilising support seeks for more systematic and lasting solutions for these groups, to be obtained with support from other citizens and from national or local authorities.

What you can expect

This introductory module explains how the different approaches to mobilise support can help trigger positive change. Different actors present the examples of their own organisations and let you discover the separate steps for preparing a strategy, and the principles for conducting effective actitivities.

With this initial understanding of mobilising support you can reflect on whether these approaches already are part of your organisation's activities, or could become so.
