CtGA mid-term review

The Change the Game Academy mid-term evaluation is out!

During the last months of 2018, the renowned UK research institute INTRAC implemented a research to evaluate Change the Game Academy over the period, 2016 – 2018. It holds meaningful information on what Change the Game Academy has achieved thus far and provides guidance as to its development.

The evaluation has been based on a survey among participants of the classroom training before the training and at 9, 18 and 30 months after they participated in the training. Furthermore, qualitative interviews have been done in Kenya, India, Ethiopia and Burkina Faso.

Here you find a link to the synthesis report with the key findings. Synthesis Report_Mid-term Evaluation CtGA. Although it is too early to draw conclusions on long term effects, INTRAC indicates that the courses result in a better understanding of resource mobilization and lobby and advocacy, an enhanced capacity to promote the organisation and more credibility and legitimacy of the organisations that have been trained. The report states that Change the Game Academy contributes to an improved sustainability of civil society organisations. Of course there are also suggestions for further improvement, which we will take to heart and endeavor to implement.

We wish you an interesting read and are very interested to hear your comments. If you have any questions related to the report, or would like to read one or more of the country reports,  don’t hesitate to contact us (robert@wildeganzen.nl or nienke@wildeganzen.nl).

From the Change the Game Academy team.
