Module 4: Corporate donors

This module deals with the main elements of raising funds and other contributions from companies.

Why

Fundraising can be done with many types of donors. For many organisations individual donors are the key target group. But companies can also be an important source of income and support. To become successful at fundraising with companies you need to understand that different types of companies have different motives and options for giving. And know how to make the appropriate Ask.

What you can expect

In this module you learn that, just like individual donors, companies can be divided into different types who each have their own motives and options for giving. You will meet two imaginary potential donors and learn about their specific motives. Then the concept of Corporate Social Responsibility is explained and you learn how to choose which companies to approach and what to ask them.

At the end of this module you will have learned how to select the companies where your chances of success are highest and why. And what to ask them and how to do that.
