In a virtual gathering buzzing with energy and enthusiasm, the graduation ceremony for the State of Youth Chapter leaders, 2024 cohort of Change the Game Academy and Kids Rights resonated with stories of resilience, determination, and transformative change. The event not only recognized the achievements of 20 young chapter leaders from around the world, but also underscored the power of collaboration, mentorship, and global connectivity in driving positive social impact.

With smiles lighting up screens and hearts brimming with pride, the atmosphere was charged with anticipation for the milestone about to be celebrated. Throughout the ceremony, participants shared their personal journeys, each a testament to the trials and triumphs encountered along the path of change. From battling connectivity issues to navigating health concerns, these young leaders exemplified resilience in the face of adversity, as well as the power of collective learning within a global community.

The virtual event was not just a culmination of three months of dedicated effort but also a testament to the transformative power of youth leadership and collaboration. Among the heartfelt expressions of gratitude and reflections on the journey, Alieu Moussa Sheriff’s words resonated deeply: “I feel fulfilled today… I saw myself facing network challenges and doubted my graduation. But through teamwork, I’m part of the graduating cohort… It helped elevate my team and organization to a greater level”, he remarked, highlighting the importance of finding solutions during crises and commending the collaborative efforts of the cohort.

Amal Saji from India expressed profound pride and gratitude, emphasizing the diverse learning opportunities and the invaluable support provided by coaches and fellow chapter leaders: “I am feeling very proud today… It has given me a lot of pleasure as well as new learning… I am filled with confidence and determination to apply everything I learned”, she shared. Her words echoed the sentiments of Redwan Tahmid from Bangladesh, who spoke of overcoming fundraising challenges and leveraging newfound knowledge to advance his mission of ending child marriage.

As the ceremony drew to a close, Sofia Tebani, from Liberia, reflected on the abundance of support and knowledge shared throughout the program, expressing gratitude for the unique experience and the opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals from around the world.

In conclusion, the graduation ceremony was not just a celebration of individual achievements but a reaffirmation of the collective power of youth to drive positive change. As these young changemakers embark on their next chapter, their voices, experiences, and determination will continue to inspire and empower others around the globe.

As CtGA Trainers and coaches led by Sharon Olang aptly summarized: “We hope that we will keep hearing more great stories from you… amplifying the youth voices and making sure that we can demonstrate that we can make a small change and a small difference within our community.
