Wilde Ganzen (the initiator of Change the Game Academy) processes personal data and other data in accordance with the applicable legislation. In this privacy statement, the considerations involved in this data processing are established.
This privacy statement applies to the processing of personal information provided by participants, newsletter subscribers, project applicants, and our business relationships (hereinafter: personal data), as well as data obtained from people visiting and using the Wilde Ganzen websites, which includes Changethegameacademy.org.
Processing personal data
Wilde Ganzen handles personal data with confidentiality and caution. Wilde Ganzen collects personal data when you make a donation (online and in other ways), subscribe to the newsletter (your e-mail address and consent to be e-mailed), visit Wilde Ganzen events and activities, take part in a course, and register a project with Wilde Ganzen.
These data are processed for the purposes of:
- sending the newsletter;
- starting private initiatives (“projects”) for fundraising;
- compliance with legal requirements;
- addressing disputes, questions, and complaints;
- optimising the operation of the website;
- analysing and improving our services.
Wilde Ganzen collects data such as (the business) name, address, telephone number, e-mail address and data that are relevant if you engage in contact with us or become a participant in one of our courses.
In addition to the personal data that you provide to Wilde Ganzen yourself, we may also collect, record, and process data regarding your use of our website(s). This data pertains to the devices you use, such as a unique device ID, the version of your operating system, the settings on the device with which you visit Wilde Ganzen, as well as data regarding the use of our website, such as the time at which you visit it and the topics that you view. We also keep track of how actively our newsletter is read by tracking the number of opens and clicks.
Sometimes, personal data are confirmed by Wilde Ganzen or combined with information from external sources. This is how we keep our database up to date.
We use your data in order to help you the best way we can and/or to inform you of our activities in writing, by e-mail, or by telephone.
You can also request that we delete your data from our database. In some cases, we may not be able to comply with your request. For instance, if you have donated to us in the past, the Dutch Tax and Customs Administration requires us to store agreements for seven years. In addition, if you request that we no longer approach you with marketing information, we are required to retain your name so that you can be excluded from contact regarding future campaigns. Of course, if we are unable to comply with your request, we will provide you with the reason.
If you have signed up for our digital newsletter, each newsletter contains a link you can use to unsubscribe.
How does Wilde Ganzen safeguard data?
Wilde Ganzen has taken physical, technical, and organisational measures to protect your personal data. Wilde Ganzen uses a secure server that is only accessible to authorised persons. Any data that you enter on our online forms are encrypted before being sent. Wilde Ganzen utilises third-party assistance to provide its services. If these third parties are involved in the processing of personal data as part of the services they provide, they do so in the capacity of processor. All our processors are required to protect your personal data. We conclude agreements with all our processors in which this requirement is explicitly stated.
Functional cookies ensure that our website functions properly. An example of this is the donation form function.
Wilde Ganzen uses Google Analytics in order to collect data such as the date and time that someone visits our websites and the pages that they view. We use these data to improve our websites, to assemble website traffic statistics (such as the times of day or the days of the week when the most users are drawn to the website), and to measure the popularity of the different sections of the website. Wilde Ganzen only uses aggregated data for these measurements and cannot trace these to a computer or individual.
You can install the “Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on”in order to prevent our websites from sending information about your visits to Google Analytics.
