Identify Purpose and Scope

• Discuss with the organisation/your team the reasons to analyse one or several programs through an audit. It is important that the organisation has clarity about the purpose of the exercise. Is it to focus on successes for donor report? Or for internal improvement? Is it to make a specific decision about the program?
• Decide if the result of the audit will be kept internally or shared with external stakeholders.
