When you start communicating, we assume you have already mastered the basics of mobilising support. You understand the situation and the obstacles and have made a solid mobilising support plan (the red and blue parts of the mobilising support cycle). Now, we will work on the yellow part: the skills you need for positioning yourself and delivering your message.

After having formulated your mobilising support message, you need to decide on the tactics you want to use, by defining how you will deliver your final message. There are two steps:

• Positioning: listening to your audience and framing your message
• Delivering: presenting the message through writing, presenting or negotiating
