In India, there is need of an extensive effort to enhance our developmental organizations. It includes improvement in areas such as social front, livelihood, empowerment, education and children development. To achieve the task not only government plans are necessary but also an integrated and joined effort of various companies, firms and even NGO’s is required. But most NGOs do not have resources or competitive edge to attract the best talent and hence end up struggling for a major part of the time.
In an effort to change this situation and help these NGOs become self-sufficient, Smile Foundation ideated 'Empowering Grassroots', a national capacity building programme, aimed at handholding, training and enabling NGOs to maximise their impact on the ground. This is the first step towards a long road to strengthen the existing network of organizations that are doing a tremendous job in their respective communities. >>
